Job Responsibilities
As a Structural Steel Drafter-Detailer at ACL Steel Ltd., you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and developing and preparing design sketches. Your tasks will also include preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates, writing technical reports, completing documentation packages and drawing sets, and examining drawings for conformity and errors. You will also be required to write specifications and technical reports.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a college or CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience and possess 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and strong knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, SolidWorks, and various project management and database software are essential. Candidates must also be familiar with desktop applications, file management software, and material requirements planning (MRP) systems.
