Job Responsibilities
As a BIM Technician, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and writing specifications. You will estimate costs and materials, complete documentation packages and drawing sets, and examine drawings for conformity and errors. Additionally, you will consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, along with over 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software, as well as MS Office and MS Windows, is essential. Experience in 3D Modeling, cartographic drafting, and drafting for buildings and structures is highly desirable.
Work Environment and Personal Suitability
The position involves working in an interior environment, with the willingness to relocate if necessary. Candidates must have a keen attention to detail, be well-organized, and work effectively as part of a team.
